Sometimes projects go to plan. Sare Havlicek is one example. It was March 2009 when we first the early demo of White Russian Lazy Summer. Right from the off its lush disco-scape, soulful bass-synth and ever-so-slightly cheese-laden narrative had us hooked. We released WRLS on the 'Nang Presents The Array Vol.1' sampler vinyl in 2009 but surprinsingly it never received its own release.
As the nights grow longer, and the sunsets more ibizan we thought an official release was the right thing to do. Quite a few compilations thought so too, as it has featured on quite a few, already. So here it is, the track that has summertime oozing out of every musical pore in its body.
We open with the Barry White influenced Loveunlimted Extended version for all the purists out there. Next up its Max Essa's reworking (previously only available on vinyl!).... one summer-in-his-veins producer to another, Max takes things on a more dancefloor excursion.
In the land of downtempo they don't come much bigger than Chris Coco and here we proudly present his very balearic re-rub. To round off, one more final dose of humour, Sares' own lounge-tastic cut. Did he make this wearing a dinner jacket and drinking a Martini? We are not sure, but we like to think so.
Enjoy the sunsets Nang people.
