Rayko is back washing up against our sundrenched Nang coastline. This time he is presenting smooth and sultry vocalist Tania Haroshka (much in a way that Prince presented Shelia E). Rayko, who grew up in the Canary Islands and has since moved to Madrid and become an international touring artist within the Nu-Disco scene. Rayko is a long-time collaborator here with us at Nang. Having had a number of successful EPs and albums including Rayko's recent work "No Stopping", which was also our first introduction to Minsk based Tania Haroshka, where she provided the vocals for the title track.
"Time Is Now" is a four track EP from the pair. The title track is an excellent example of Rayko's knowledge and experience when it comes to making slick Nu-disco groovers. There's no messing around with these chuggy beats, glittering hi-hats and glistening synth lines. Topped off with Tania's recurring vocals adding the glamour which really helps this one take off. Rayko's Tropical Disco Remix transports this number straight to the beach, introducing a face-melting guitar riff and a euphoric synth line, whilst stripping things back a little with the help of some tropical percussive elements to great effect.
To round off the EP Rayko and Tania Haroshka deliver a versatile, classy and highly usable Instrumental versions of both the original and the Tropical Disco Remix. All DJ's bases covered with this one.
